This Thanksgiving We’re Thankful For…

by Zena Smith

This week we’re celebrating our favorite time of year: the season of giving and the season of thanks. Since 2011, we’ve been given so much to be thankful for, and we couldn’t be more appreciative of all that we have—the resources, the relationships, and the simple privilege of fulfilling our mission in education. As we celebrate this holiday season, MASTERs Plus wants to thank those of you who matter most, the ones who make it possible to do what we love doing.

Thank you to our students
studentsYou are the stars of every classroom and the lifeblood of our program. Your hard work inspires us to work harder, be better, and give you more. We love seeing you grow, improve, and overcome challenges in the classroom and in life. Thank you for trying your best in 2014!

Thank you to our parents

parentsYour student is here because of you: You are invested in a brighter futures for your student. You want to see them be the best they can be. And you are taking action to make it happen. There are too few parents who will make the extra step to improve their child’s education, and you’re one of those admirable few. This Thanksgiving, we want to thank you, simply, for caring.

Thank you to all the teachers
Teacher Writing Alphabet on Chalk BoardTeachers are the backbones of every student’s education and silent partners in our mission. While it is our job and passion to fill in the gaps where students have struggled or fallen behind, it is their teachers who have put in the hours of work—building lesson plans, giving lectures, correcting papers—to provide the foundations of their education. A true education is a marathon, a lifelong pursuit, and teachers are there at every turn. Thank you, teachers, for dedicating yourselves to the mission of education.

Thank you to our tutors
mptutorsTruly, we couldn’t do this without you. Your passion, expertise, and work ethic is responsible for all that we are. When students have lost confidence in themselves, you are there to build them back up and show them that they can. Students count on you not just because you’re great at what you do, but because you have shown them that you care about them beyond the grades they get. Thank you, thank you, thank you for being in the trenches day in and day out. You do the little things that make MASTERs Plus BIG.
